Each DVD disk is divided into chapters. The
chapters may contain video films, video scenes and other media information.
Watermark Master allows to encode DVD chapters as a unit (saving them
into a single file) or separately (saving them as separate files).
Encoding DVD chapters as
a unit.
Add
a DVD disk and click the added DVD in the "Source Files" window.
Then turn on the "Join"
check-box in the "Properties" window. Now if you start
the process (by pressing "F5" or "CTRL+F6"), all chapters
will be encoded into a single file.
Encoding DVD chapters separately.
Add
a DVD disk and click the added DVD in the "Source Files" window.
Then turn off the "Join"
check-box in the "Properties" window. Now if you start
the process (by pressing "F5" or "CTRL+F6"), all chapters
will be encoded into a separate files.
Excluding DVD chapters from
processing.
By default all chapters are included in processing.
However, sometimes you may need to exclude some chapter(s) from editing.
To exclude a chapter, double-click the added DVD in the "Source Files"
window and click the unwanted chapter in the tree. Then turn off the "Include"
check-box in the "Properties" window. Now if you start
the process (by pressing "F5" or "CTRL+F6"), all chapters
except for the excluded one will be processed.
Encoding a single chapter.
Sometimes you may need to encode only one DVD
chapter. In order to do that quickly, double-click the added DVD in the
"Source Files" window and click the required chapter. Then start the
process for the selected chapter (by pressing "CTRL+F5").
Additional information.
After adding a VOB file to Watermark Master,
the program starts searching for chapters within the added file, which
enables to work with VOB files in full measure, as with a DVD disk. But
if you're sure that the VOB file does not include chapters, and you don't
want to waste time on parsing it, change the file extension from .vob
to .mpg before adding.
