VideoCharge FULL versions 3.9.0.05 and 3.9.1.06 always encode to DV with 720*480@25.
Even original DV file taken from the PAL camera with 720*576@25 is encoded with NTSC resolution and PAL framerate (it is stupid to reencode into the same format but i did it for testing purposes).
But no problems with Uncompressed RGB.
So before paying for VC I need to know if ignoring of the screen 6: Please set the frame options of the wizard or the Frame tab in the main interface is a limitation of the trial version or it is a continuous bug?

BTW, you can make sure that qdv.dll is a MicroSoft's file by viewing its properties via Windows Explorer.

Garfield wrote on Thu, 02 August 2007 12:04 | QDV.DLL is used by Windows Movie Maker for encoding videos to DV files which can be sent back to the camera's tape. Does not it mean that files, produced by this codec, are true DV files?

Yes, this does not necessarily mean that the files are DV ones.

I'm not as huge specialist in video converting as you are, but I suppose that if one piece of software can encode into DV 720*576/25 using QDV.DLL then VC in case it uses the same codec (you have just prooved that it does) can also do so. Or not?

DV Video Encoder codec is closed, therefore we can use only those its features that are documented, declassified. Since both Windows Movie Maker and DV Video Encoder are produced by Microsoft, most likely WMM uses some features of the codec that are not documented and we have no access to.

In this case I'd purchase it immediately. If no other solution will be found by the date you'll release such VC version.
