Got around 500 mpeg clips in my harddrive.. and I need to append a short mpeg clip (of duration 2 sec) to all these videos.

ie, insert credits.mpg clip at the end of clip1.mpg, clip2.mpg, clip3.mpg... clip500.mpg ..

can this be done using videocharge (i mean, in batch mode)? how?

This can be done with VideoCharge Pro or VideoCharge Full (in batch mode, using command line).
