To create ASF file you should select ASF, WMV, WMA output format
index.php?t=getfile&id=31&private=0
and save the output file as .asf

As for watermarks: do you use Wizard or make settings manually? What type are the pictures you add watermarks to? Is there some direct sequence of actions that results in crashing? What exactly version of VideoCharge do you use? Please supply us with all information that may become helpful.

Thank you in advance!

thanks for the fast reply.

My version is 3.6.1.12

Still when selecting output as x.asf it ends up being a wmv file.
Tried both with an wmv file and mpeg.
using the wizard i select ASF,WMV,WMA,Advanced stream format.
then tried with various use system profiles and custom settings.
under output i select single mode and as output file name i enter x.asf but gets an x.wmv file.

Program crashes most of the them when selecting a jpg file to watermark (seems to work with gif) crashes right after i have selected the file and clicks on next and those few times it work it crashes once i click the run button.

Running windows XP SP 1.

ASF and WMV formats are the same in general. That is if you like you may rename the output file to x.asf manually and that will be
valid ASF file.
However we've taken your notice into account and try to fix this inconvenience in future versions. Thank you for your notice!

Also we recommend you to update your version to the latest one (3.6.10.31) at our download page. This version has a lot of bugs fixed as compared with yours.
Please inform us if update doesn't resolve the problem with watermarks!

Nope still crashes after updating to 3.6.10.31 starting the wizard, selecting apply watermark to video or image, adding a 42kb jpg and click next..crash.

AppName: videocharge.exe AppVer: 3.6.10.31 ModName: parser.dll
ModVer: 3.6.10.31 Offset: 0004dd44

renaming the file to .asf seems to work though, thanks.

File of what format do you try to add watermark to?
Could you send the file you use for watermarking (42kb jpg) to support@videocharge.com ?
