Often an mpg to wmv conversion reports the error "The start point and the end point of the selected time span are incorrectly assigned. Use the Editor for editing." But when I run it a second time, no error is reported. What is the matter?

This error most likely rises from incorrect timeline range setting. Probably you have marked a timeline in Editor for one movie (e.g. 5.00 min - 6.00 min), saved config and used the same config for another movie (duration e.g. = 4 min), that is the selected timeline is out of movie's range.
