Yes, it's possible. And we've made a decision to publish here a full-length instruction on creation of thumbnails

You may create thumbnails in the following ways:

I.

1. Turn on the “Thumbnails” check-box in the “Output” section
2. Click on the “…” button to the right of the “Thumbnails” check-box
3. Click on the “Insert New” button
4. Set options for the thumbnail (here please pay your attention to “Frame for Thumbnail” option in the “Common” section – here you can specify the frame out of which you wish the thumbnail to be created)
5. (repeat steps 3-4 if you need to create more then one thumbnail)
6. Click “OK” button and run VideoCharge.

II.

1. Open the Editor
2. Select the required frame using the preview scroll-bar below.
3. Open the “Edit” menu and select “Add Thumb” menu item (or press F3, or click on button on the left of the scroll-bar)
4. (repeat steps 2-3 if you need to create more then one thumbnail)
5. Close the Editor and run VideoCharge.

Using this methods you’ll get thumbnails as well as a video file or a picture at the output (depending on the specified output format)



Using the first method you can’t avoid creating an additional file (picture or video).
Using the second method you can avoid it, just turn on the “Thumb Only” check-box in the “Output” section.

III.

This method may be used in order to automatize creation of thumbnails. E.g. you need to create a thumbnail in every 10 seconds:

1. In the output format list (see screenshot above) select the required graphic one (bmp, …, tiff)
2. Turn on the “Use split” check-box in the “Output” section
3. Select “Split by Time” mode
4. Specify “Length” = 10 sec
5. (Disable “Thumb Only” if enabled) Run VideoCharge.
