Videocharge Pro adding 8 pixels to on2vp6 encoding height [message #1440] Tue, 11 September 2018 18:27 Go to next message

Very strange issue, no matter what setting I try, Videocharge pro adds 8 pixels to the height of my FLV's when using on2 vp6 codec. When I switch to sorenson h.263 this does not happen.

So instead of getting flvs that are 480x360 I get ones that are 480x368

I thought perhaps it was because the resize portion of the program wasn't functioning right, so I didn't change the frame dimensions on the output, and it still added 8 pixels to the height.

Anyone?

I would also like to add, I thought it might be the on2vp6 codec that is the issue separate from the videocharge program, but my adobe flash, and on2's programs both can render the correct dimensions... so it's definately a videocharge error.

I am using the latest version of videocharge pro on Vista64 if that helps.

Hi.

On2VP6 codec is required that the height of video frame to be multiple of 16.
In metadata of flv files we write real frame size.

We will look at this problem again soon.

Videocharge Team.

I don't understand, so because it divides by 16, there's no way to make a video in the proper height for a 360 height?

How come I can do it on other FLV rendering programs using on2vp6 codec?

Hi.

On2VP6 isn't an open source codec.
It is required that height and width of frame were divided by 16.
In other case this codec works incorrectly sometimes.
Therefor we set such restriction.

Videocharge Team.

Hi.

We use original codec for creating On2VP6 video.
And it doesn't allow to resolve this problem.
Now we are looking for alternative variants for resolving it.
We didn't forget about it.
We will inform you after corresponded release.

Regards,
Videocharge Team.

Hi, thanks for the file, I have overwritten it and now it creates 720 px width, so thats the correct width but the height is 416 instead of 405, (the bottom of the movie (10px) is stretched...

Is there something you can do about this as well please?
